In November, when I had been in Australia for only a week, I had already played one tournament! Now the last of the 10 tournament series is in two weeks: a two-day event, Victorian Open.
The first five tournaments I played with an Aussie Keata Williams (in photo), a tall girl (191 cm) with a lot of talent. We did quite well, even won one event!
Then, the rounds 7-9 I have played with another Aussie, Jo Croaker. She's fun to play with, very skilled and experienced, played a couple of years on the National Tour. In our first event, we made it straight away to the final, but got defeated by Victorian beach legend Jenny Jury and her best mate in a terrible wind.
In the next one, the Epic Beach Games event, we finally got to drink champagne (see picture) :) We beat two National Tour teams in the semifinal and final. Christy and Louisa even had got 9th place in the National finals a few weeks ago - we were quite happy to win them!
Last weekend was quite good, though in the semifinals National Tour couple Angie Crewe and Lauren Spark took their revenge and beat us. So we ended up third. Let's hope we can end the season with the same feeling as in the picture!
