I worked in the Melbourne Fringe Festival as a volunteer in September-October, doing some front of house work and ticket sales. This wonderful little house you see below, right, was called 'Material World'. It was build by some artists and refugees in Australia. Its walls are made of things that the refugees have picked because they remind them of home. The dolls above are made for the family members that have stayed in the home country.


I met a lot of awesome people and saw some fabulous shows. The weirdest one was a comedy show by a frantic guy that talked politics and then next moment he presented his collection of funny forks... and threw lollies to the audience...It was a shame that the festival was at the same time than the busiest time at uni... wish I could have used my volunteer pass more. Maybe next year!
